The Ocean

Forgot how to float,
started to sink
Gasping for air
forgot how to breathe

Covered in papercuts
sea salt stings
Can’t see underwater
continued to bleed

Unknowingly;
I call over a shark
who swallows me whole
then tears me apart

“This is your fault-
you gave up your limbs.
To survive in the ocean,
you should know how to swim.”
